 Minimum Qualifications

 Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of secretarial or administrative assistant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Required to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel database, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Must possess proofreading and organizational skills; presentation and communication skills are required to effectively interact with executive level staff and the public.

 Preferences

 Bachelor's Degree in the Humanities. Detailed individual with experience in the Arts. Experience with Filemaker Pro.

 Representative Duties

 Coordinates office services such as purchasing, personnel, budget, and travel.

Assists in the preparation of the budget and monitors expenditures for the budget/grants.

Composes correspondence to County Commissioners, County Chairman, executive staff, and the general public on a regular basis.

Prepares reports and presentations for projects to be delivered to the BCC and other senior staff.

Researches and analyzes information for a variety of reports, projects and meetings.

Coordinates meetings, prepares documents, meeting agendas and takes minutes for meetings. Posts meetings in accordance to Sunshine State Laws.

Coordinates projects and programs and designs printed materials.

Serves as web coordinator and updates web pages. Designs printed materials for promoting Art in the Chambers .

Answers questions regarding office projects, grants, and policies of the office from the County Administrator’s staff and the general public.

Coordinates, plans, and directs work of support staff, volunteers, and interns.---

BRIEF POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  As Community Health Director, your responsibilities include:

  • Management of clinical operations and community partnerships that provide TB, Immunizations, HIV/STD and School Health services as well as Epidemiology and Hepatitis programs
  • Leadership and direction for the communicable disease programs which includes STD/HIV/TB and immunizations.

 The Community Health Director has the responsibility of overseeing the standards and delivery of practice for the organization’s Community Health services.  The Community Health Director, as part of the Senior Management Team, assists in guiding and sustaining the organization in ethical, legal and community responsibilities. The Community Health Director participates in the development of patient care programs, policies and procedures to include monitoring, evaluating and improving the quality and appropriateness of community health services and other direct patient related care.  Also provides leadership and mentoring to Community Health staff.   
 QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful applicant will have demonstrated:           

  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Knowledge and experience with applied quality assurance standards and principles
  • Minimum of 10 years recent experience in health care
  • 5 years successful supervisory/management experience in a leadership position providing Public Health Services 

 PREFERENCES:
Masters Degree in Public Health or Health Care Administration
Experience managing multiple health care programs or program areas
Experience as a Health Care Administrator in a community health setting
The ability to create employee engagement by coaching and mentoring staff
